Standard flooring is laid directly over the structural slab. A false floor (raised access floor) creates a hollow space between the slab and the walking surface, made of modular tiles supported by pedestals. The false floor is used to route electrical, voice, data and HVAC installations under the floor and access them through registers and floor boxes — typical in offices, server rooms, classrooms and meeting rooms where flexibility is needed.
Floor boxes
Floor boxes distribute electrical, voice, data and multimedia connectivity through standard flooring or false floor systems. The Simon range covers boxes, registers, trays and cable outlets — for offices, meeting rooms, classrooms, retail and any space where below-floor routing is required.
