Paving trays are the recessed containers that house the connectivity modules of a floor box installation in standard flooring. They define depth and module arrangement (from 2 to 12 elements depending on the model) and provide mechanical protection to the wiring before the cover or register is fitted.

Everything you need to know about paving trays

Standard flooring is laid directly over the structural slab. A false floor (raised access floor) creates a hollow space between the slab and the walking surface, made of modular tiles supported by pedestals. The false floor is used to route electrical, voice, data and HVAC installations under the floor and access them through registers and floor boxes — typical in offices, server rooms, classrooms and meeting rooms where flexibility is needed.
