Simon Spaces ELLE Decoration: technology, light and nature in balance

4 min read

A space designed by Noé Prades where technological innovation is expressed through sensitivity.

In collaboration with ELLE Decoration and the studio Noé Prades, Simon presents a space that explores new ways of inhabiting: a living room with a workspace where technology, lighting and nature come together to create an intuitive, organic and deeply human environment.

The project proposes a look towards the future from a contemporary sensibility, in which technological precision dissolves into a sensorial aesthetic, connected with natural rhythms and a materiality that evokes the earth. A living space, conceived as an extension of the outdoor landscape, where technology does not impose itself but accompanies.

Inspired by the relationship between the ancestral and the contemporary, Noé Prades' design rests on a sensitive architecture that responds to both the surroundings and the user. Pure materials, honest textures and integrated systems build a space where natural intelligence guides every design decision.

Architecture conceived from light

Light acts as the project's guiding thread, articulating a living-dining room with a work area able to adapt, interact and transform itself throughout the day.

During daylight hours, the space comes alive through geometric openings that filter the outdoor light, casting shadows and volumes that frame the surfaces and transform the perception of the whole. Every material and every transition responds to a precise lighting intent, designed to accompany the user's experience.

At the heart of the dining area, the linear Simon 860 system rises above the table as a light sculpture integrated into the architecture. Its modular design allows light, elegant compositions to be created, offering infinite creative possibilities and adapting naturally to contemporary interior design projects.

When night falls, artificial lighting redefines the space with an intimate, functional atmosphere. The Simon 860 system delivers focused, precise light over the table, while the Slim & Drop System structures travel along walls and volumes, guiding the journey with a minimalist, serene language.

These structures combine indirect diffuse LED light with accent lighting, thanks to the integration of projectors that bring depth and rhythm to the space. The light is distributed evenly through optics designed to avoid glare and preserve the natural perception of colours and textures.

The work area integrates organically into the whole. The desk, lit by Slim & Drop System, forms part of the same stone structure that wraps around the living room and gives rise to the staircase connecting to the dining area. An architectural gesture that reinforces spatial and functional continuity.

Integrated mechanisms: connection and discretion

Functionality is incorporated into the space with complete naturalness. The mechanisms of the Simon 270 series integrate into the design with a discreet presence and a clean finish, available in multiple finishes that allow full personalisation.

In the work area, the mechanisms incorporate smart lighting control, USB charging and Clean sockets, designed to sit perfectly flush with the frame. Solutions designed for intuitive, accessible use aligned with the aesthetics of the space.

Smart home for everyday well-being

Technology acts as a quiet system that looks after the user. The mechanisms integrate advanced smart features that allow regulating the intensity of light, controlling blinds and centralising the management of the space through the Keypad and the Simon iO app.

From the personalisation of lighting scenes to the automation of daily routines, the system allows you to create experiences tailored to each moment, adjusting lighting according to natural light or configuring the space to accompany the rhythms of life of those who inhabit it.

A space where technology is felt

In this project, technology is not displayed: it is perceived.
Light acts with precision, sensitivity and adaptability, turning the space into a dynamic stage that evolves between day and night.

An environment where architecture, lighting and smart control merge to create a balanced, serene experience connected with people. An example of how Simon understands the contemporary home: integrated technology, conscious design and real well-being.
