Located in the Eure-et-Loir department, in the Centre-Val de Loire region (France), the small municipality of Saint-Denis-Lanneray is the result of the merger of two former communes: Saint-Denis-les-Ponts and Lanneray, brought together in 2019. This rural and peaceful area is part of the metropolitan area of Châteaudun, a town with a notable historical legacy, where agricultural traditions meet architectural jewels and natural spaces.
At the heart of this town stands the Église Saint-Denis, a church of Romanesque origin that represents a spiritual and cultural landmark for its inhabitants. This building, like many rural French churches, is surrounded by a small square that acts as a hub for local gatherings and movement. It is precisely in this setting that a urban lighting solution signed by Simon has been implemented.
For this project, the Aurum Hera double-head model has been used, a luminaire that stands out for its minimalist design and neutral aesthetic, designed to integrate respectfully into urban and heritage environments.
Its cylindrical column structure and compact heads allow for a clean installation, with no visual interference with the existing architecture.
The system features high-performance LED technology, optimised light distribution and luminous flux control options that help reduce light pollution (FHS <1%) and ensure a safe, welcoming environment.
Furthermore, its IP66 and IK09 protection rating guarantees resistance to harsh weather conditions and acts of vandalism. Thanks to its modularity, different heights, power levels and optics can be configured, making it a perfect fit for projects like this one, where lighting must be functional, aesthetic and respectful of the surroundings.
