Celebration of the centenary of Simon Poland

On 30 May 2016, Simon, Urmet and the board members of Kontakt-Simon gathered together to celebrate Simon’s centenary at an event that was held at the “Chacharnia” music pub, in Czechowice-Dziedzice, to which all Kontakt-Simon employees were invited.

The 350 guests were able to enjoy a delicious lunch, after which the official ceremony kicked off, with all the members of the Simon Group executive team welcoming the guests with a speech in which they thanked those present for their great effort and dedication.

After the speeches, a video on Simon’s history was shown, which was warmly received, and which allowed the guests to learn about the key milestones in the company’s history and reinforced Simon’s values and objectives. The video also contained interviews with some employees of Simon Holding in various countries, who shared their best memories.

To culminate the event, for which Kontakt-Simon ordered t-shirts to commemorate the years when the three companies (Simon, Urmet and Kontakt-Simon) were launched, the guests took a family photo and were given a nice souvenir of the centenary.

2016 was also remembered by the staff of Kontakt-Simon, which in September of that year celebrated their 95th anniversary.
